The GPS on my SGS 2 is a piece of utter shit. I stand around like a dick for up to 5 minutes waiting for it to lock on. It is honestly a JOKE. DO NOT BUY.

this is a very unfair test ad the sgs2 is newer and is dual core whereas the desire s is only single core

@grecai2168 lol did you not consider I did put it head to head with the HTC Sensation ?…. *Rolls Eyes* and you do know the Incredible and the S are pretty much the SAME specs as the Desire S ?… bar screen size… *Rolls Eyes Again*

lol, did you consider software, hardware, ram, processors etc before doing this test.
Why not do a comparison between the SG2 & HTC Incredible or Incredible S ?
These phones have similar spec’s and a more true reflection of the phones.

Please tell me the s2 doesnt have gps problems?? I have galaxy 1st gen and its completely broken but ive seen ppl with cheaper phones and carriers having perfect turn by turn navivation.

@algierssolja wow you also getting same problem? I got mine to lock after 6 minutes or so of waiting. I dont have good data plan so I have opted to use GPS based navigation application such as Navigon where it doesnt require 3G or data to start navigating unlike google maps. Let me know mate if you have found a fix.

anyone else having problem with gps locking time? I purely use GPS using an app called Navigon, without turning on 3g etc and I get long GPS lock even though 9+ satellites are already been detected.
